The Pelofondo is a distance challenge. You select your milage and time frame of 1 or two days. Shannon and I choose to do 50miles in one day. Today was the day! We started with a live 60 min ride. I was STRUGGLING! I was in my head, thinking things like why do I do these things to myself, Its 6am on a Saturday I should be sleeping. Then Shannon reminded me that we did NOT invite that BITCH excuses to the party. Once I got out of my head and shifted my mindset, about 50 minutes in I was ready. We did two more 60 minute rides and it was challenging. But my body was a machine. I kept going and the miles ticked away. That is the thing about challenging yourself, you do not know how you will do or how much you have to give until you test yourself.
50 miles may seem crazy to some of yo and you may think oh I could never do that. I am here to tell you that if I can do it so can you. Move your body each and every day and you will reap the benefits. Build a tribe of people that support and cheer you on, this has helped me stay accountable and thrive.
